CPMA convention to feature mix of education and entertainment

The Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s annual convention will take place May 9-11 in Toronto.

Among the highlights attendees can look forward to are the Half Your Plate hockey game on May 9 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre followed by the Chair’s Welcome Reception at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The next morning, features a Delegate and Companion breakfast and the Retail Produce Manager session at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Business sessions and a Delegate Lunch close out the morning before the Trade Show Opening Ceremony takes place at 1 p.m. The trade show is open from 1:30 to 5:30. Attendees have a chance to freshen up after the trade show before hitting the after party at 9:30 at the Intercontinental Hotel.

On Thursday, May 11, the Awards Brunch kicks off the day at 9:30 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The trade show opens again at 11:30 and lasts until 4:30. Running concurrently during the trade show hours are the Dietitians Session and the Learning Lounges, providing attendees with some key information to better run their businesses.

Closing out the jam-packed schedule is the Annual Banquet, which begins with a reception at 6:30 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The banquet features a performance by Canadian rock icons the Barenaked Ladies.
