| MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS All color must be separated for 4-color process. Digital Output Specifications Macintosh-formatted media only. Disks must include all fonts and graphics. Write insertion dates on discs. Matchprint to be included with all ads to ensure proper reproduction. If uploading a file, send a hardcopy matchprint or supply a JPG proof. Ads are to be created in the following applications: Quark XPress 7, Adobe Illustrator CS2 (EPS file), Adobe Photoshop CS2 (EPS file), Adobe Acrobat. Files should be saved as a PDF, TIFF, EPS or the original Quark document. Fonts and images Trapping: 1/2 pt use Macintosh postscript fonts only, Truetype fonts are not accepted. Black fonts above 14 pt, use a 2-color makeup: 20% cyan, 100% black. Black fonts under 14 pt, use 100% black only. When using fonts smaller than 10 pt, non-serif fonts reproduce best. | INSERT SPECIFICATIONS Size: Minimum size 4" X 6", maximum size 10.5" X 16". Minimum weight on a single sheet is 70#. Any non-folded insert should not exceed 8.5" x 11". Inserts larger than 8.5" x 11" should be pre-folded. Call for sizes of multi-page inserts. Sample insert must be received and approved by Anthony Addamo in Oradell, NJ, prior to shipment to printer. | FILE UPLOADING Using an FTP program, log into ftp://216.15.136.228 with login "produpload" and password "jklm!23$". Place the files in the "Producenews" folder and please label the uploaded files with the advertiser name. Once the upload is complete, e-mail addamo@theproducenews.com with the following information: issue date, name of advertiser, contact information and file name. Please attach a JPG proof. |
