Richard Binks joined produce consulting group FreshXperts as an associate member. His technical horticultural and agricultural project management experience will benefit FreshXperts' global list of clients.

Mr. Binks serves as managing director and owner of FreshTec, the Cambridgeshire, U.K.-based produce consultancy, serving a diverse list of governmental agencies, seed companies and well-known fresh suppliers and marketing companies. FreshTec technically supports clients with food safety, farm assurance, Integrated Pest Management, and seed and crop production challenges.
Mr. Binks got his start in the industry at an agriculture testing laboratory at age 16.
He is a graduate of Manchester Polytechnic, where he earned a bachelor's degree in applied biology followed by a postgraduate diploma in crop protection with Aberdeen University. In 1996 Mr. Binks completed his doctorate degree in tropical agriculture at Reading University. He is currently active in the United Kingdom's Fresh Produce Consortium and Vegetable Consultancy Association.
