Coastline unveiled a new design for its two-count Lil Gem Hearts, which became available in February. The Salinas, CA-based firm said that the new package design reflects its commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support.
Coastline solicited input from local retailers to aid in the development of the design to ensure broad acceptance and appeal. Not only is the outward appearance of the bags noticeably different, the new bags are eye catching with a detailed description of what is inside the bag.
"We are always thinking of ways to improve customer satisfaction," Phil Adrian, chief executive officer of Coastline, said in a press release. "Little Gems look like tiny versions of Romaine lettuce, with a crisp, crunchy texture and a sweet flavor that is very similar to butter lettuce. These gems are more resistant to the blister and peal than are other lettuces. Shelf life is nearly twice that of most other lettuces."
Vivian Sotelo, marketing manager at Coastline, added in the press release, "Our vision is to enable clients to enhance their competitiveness, create new sources of economic value and drive revenue growth."
Coastline will be exhibiting its line of fresh vegetables at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association convention April 17-20 in Toronto.
