The potatoes will be delivered Dec. 13 at 8:45 a.m. to the distribution center at 3177 Mercier in Kansas City, MO.

The Salvation Army will use some of the potatoes to prepare over 4,500 individual family food baskets, and the remainder will help supply the organization’s feeding program, which prepares meals for hungry people.

Haun Potato employees Dave Haun and Spud Haun are donating the cost of transportation. Kunkel Truck Lines, located in Brandon, SD, has arranged to have the potatoes picked up and delivered by driver Richard Powell.

Many of the generous farmers and shippers that are participating this year have done so for each of the last 30 years.

Hall of Edinburg, ND; Associated Potato Growers of Grand Forks, ND; Northern Valley Growers of Hoople, ND; and A&L Potato Co. from East Grand Forks, MN.
