Avocados From Mexico will showcase the largest marketing program in the brand's history at the upcoming Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit exposition in New Orleans, LA.
Driven by the collaboration between the Avocado Producers & Exporting Packers Association of Mexico and Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association, the new national campaign will differentiate and distinguish Avocados From Mexico. A fully integrated marketing program including advertising, public relations, and retail and foodservice support, will be introduced to the trade at the convention.
"The Fresh Summit Expo is the ideal platform for Avocados From Mexico to share the new vision and category-building programs with the trade," Sergio Guerrero, chairman of APEAM, said in a press release.
"It's an invaluable opportunity for us to meet with retailers one-on-one and share how we are reaching new consumers with a campaign that is rooted in education, broadens usage occasions and increases frequency of consumption," Ed Figueroa, chairman of MHAIA, added in the press release.
Booth visitors can see the new Avocados From Mexico TV spots, while enjoying recipes that take avocados from occasional treat to an everyday essential.
Menu items include a custom guacamole bar, avo sliders on Hawaiian king rolls and New Orleans-inspired cajun tacos with fresh avocado slices.
Also, back by popular demand is the colorful and glamorous ambassador of Avocados From Mexico, Miss Ava Cado, who will be at the booth all weekend to greet attendees. On Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Avocados from Mexico will host a photo station where attendees can "flash their smile" for New Orleans-style beads and a photo with Miss Ava Cado.
Additionally, Avocados From Mexico is sponsoring the general session breakfast at PMA on Saturday, Oct. 19, to highlight the brand's new positioning and vision: moving fresh avocados from Mexico from an occasional treat to an everyday essential.
