Freshway Foods, a fresh fruit and vegetable processor, repacker, distributor and logistics provider based in Sidney, OH, introduced several new super food salads at United Fresh 2013 in San Diego.
Featured at the show were new salads containing Brussels sprouts, kale, mango and healthy grains, such as rainbow quinoa.
Samples of the company's new roasted cherry Brussels sprout slaw were very popular with show attendees,according to Kirk Norman, director of business development.
"For consumers looking for healthier options, these salads offer the perfect combination of nutrition and great taste," Norman said in a press release.
"We are committed to offering our customers products that taste good and are good for you," Frank Gilardi, chief executive officer of Freshway Foods, added in the press release. "Eating more fresh produce is a great way to improve your health, and these new super food salads will appeal to a wide range of consumers."
