Fresherized Foods plans to spice things up at United Fresh 2013 with the unveiling of at least three new salsa varieties.
Jay Alley, vice president of retail sales, said that attendees can stop by the company’s booth (No. 1248) to find out about the new products and speak with sales managers Clyde Forbes and Dale Turner about the company’s value-added line and the ways in which theygenerate marketplace excitement.
“We have been to this show consistently over the last five or six years,” Mr. Alley told The Produce News. “We enjoy getting to talk to current and potential customers about new items, consumer trends and promotions. Being a small show, the buyers have more time to look and visit.”
According to the company, salsa is a hot commodity and overtook ketchup as America’s No. 1 condiment approximately seven years ago.
During the initial launch of the company’s salsa line, consumer tastebuds were dazzled. Emphasis was placed on the versatility of salsa beyond traditional use as a complement to chips. And the 10-ounce tub will provide consumers with premium taste, but no waste.
Tub sleeves contain a scannable QR code which helps consumers marry each individual flavor with meats.
Fresherized Foods also has a strong social media presence, and the company’s fan base continues to grow.
The company is headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, and markets its diverse and flavorful “Wholly Salsa,” “Wholly Guacamole,” and “Wholly Queso” branded line to retail and foodservice customers. The line was created six years ago.
