A revamped logo, a brand new website and a steadily growing product line has Coosemans Interproduce Divisions, based in Tampa, FL, ready to spread its reach even further from coast-to-coast, with locations from Cleveland, OH, to California providing coverage for much of the continental United States.
“We’re centralizing a lot of things, combining some of the buying power we have with our coast-to-coast operations and bringing some more organization to the five unique branches we have spread out throughout the United States,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Andrew Scott.
The new website will help tie the various Coosemans Interproduce properties together and allow clients and suppliers easier access to information.
“We’re excited about the website. Pretty much this entire industry has underutilized the internet and we’re making sure we’re up-to-speed with the latest and best technology to help take care of our clients and providers,” Scott said. “We’re always available to talk to anybody by phone, and we cover a lot of territory in person, but a strong web presence will enhance what we already do very well.”
From its founding almost three decades ago, the company operates as Coosemans-Tampa. Managing Partner Roy Kane has run that operation with Coosemans Worldwide founder Danny Coosemans since 1994. Under Kane’s leadership, the business has steadily grown over the last two decades, with facilities in Miami, Dallas, San Francisco and Cleveland opening in the last decade. The Tampa headquarters has doubled the size of its warehouse in the last year.
That growth led to the decision earlier this year to place the entire operation under a single management company, Coosemans Interproduce Divisions.
“We cover a lot of territory,” Scott said. “Tampa and Miami service the entire state of Florida. From Cleveland, we cover Pittsburgh, PA and Detroit, MI. From Dallas we go to Austin, San Antonio, Abilene, Waco, Wichita Falls and Oklahoma City, OK. And from San Francisco we service Sacramento, Modesto, San Jose, Salinas/Monterey and Stockton.
Once best known as a specialty produce company, Coosemans Interproduce has steadily increased offerings across the spectrum with an eye on becoming a single source purveyor for retailers and food service.
“We still feel like we’re the best specialty company out there, especially on the national scale, but we’re adding more value for our customers by carrying more and more full line produce items,” Scott said. “We want to provide one-stop shopping for food service and retail. We already do a lot with all the major players but we continue to step up our game daily.”
“We’re really focusing in on what we do best, increasing efficiencies across the board and looking for even more ways to take care of the people who take care of us,” Scott said. “The new website will help with that, but we’ll never stop providing the kind of personal service people keep coming to us for.”
