New hirings at Produce Alliance

Produce Alliance LLC, which specializes in helping member businesses grow within the produce industry, announced May 24 the addition of three new employees to its headquarters office in Nashville, TN.

Chicago native SCOTT BAGAN recently joined Produce Alliance’s sales team.

A graduate of the University of Texas-Austin, Mr. Bagan earned his Scott-Bagan---Produce-AlliaScott Bagandegree in communication studies. Before working for Produce Alliance, he worked as an account executive at Groupon, Inc., where he focused on new business development, launching partnerships with over 2,500 accounts nationwide, according to a company press release.

“I am excited to embark on this new venture within the produce industry and look forward to working with the dynamic personalities who together, make P.A. the successful entity it is today,” Mr. Bagan said in the release. “I have no doubt that I will be a meaningful addition to what is already a talented and passionate team.”

STEVEN SCHRIMPF accepted the position of purchasing and sales coordinator at Produce Alliance.

Born and raised in Nashville, Mr. Schrimpf ventured to Samford University in Birmingham, AL, where he pursued a degree in English literature. After college, he joined Adams Bros. Produce Co., where he worked as an account executive.

During his time at Adams Bros.,Steven-Schrimpf---Produce-ASteven Schrimpf Mr. Schrimpf progressed into management and operations, shipping and receiving, and ultimately into purchasing as the procurement and logistics category manager, the position he held until Adams Bros. ceased operations in April 2012.

“Though the last several weeks have been very difficult on our family, I’m very excited about the future,” Mr. Schrimpf said in the company press release. “The valuable experience I gained from each position I held during my years at Adams has given me a broad perspective on the industry that I am eager and anxious to put to use to make Produce Alliance even more successful.”

CHELSEA ROLLINS has joined Produce Alliance’s administrative team.

As a 2010 graduate of Murray State University, Ms. Rollins earned Chelsea-Rollins---Produce-AChelsea Rollinsher bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. Upon graduation, she moved back to her hometown of Champaign, IL, where she worked as an event coordinator, planning and executing weddings and events.

Ms. Rollins grew up around the produce industry and is very excited to now be working for Produce Alliance.
