Pura Vida Farms hires Jake Erickson

JAKE ERICKSON joined Scottsdale, AZ-based Pura Vida Farms earlier this year.

JakeIn his new position as special projects manager, Erickson spends the majority of his time helping to grow and better organize the company’s watermelon business. He is also helping to expand Pura Vida’s Northeast pineapple sales, after the company’s five-plus years of success bringing its pineapples to Florida, Texas and California.

Prior to joining Pura Vida Farms, Erickson worked as a research analyst for the School of Agriculture at Utah State University for two years, where he earned his master’s degree in science and economics. He received his bachelor’s of science in international agribusiness from Arizona State University in 2011 and his MBA in international agribusiness from the Royal Agriculture University, under the direction of the Prince of Wales, in May 2013.

Erickson is a member of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association, as well as the American Economic Association.

He currently resides in Mesa, AZ, with his wife of seven years and their three-year old daughter, Ella, and newly born twin boys, Ryker and Krew.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, boating and riding ATVs.
