JORDAN COHN recently joined Modena, NY-based Stanley Orchards Sales as a full-time sales representative.
Cohn first began working for Stanley Orchards in the summer of 2007, during his time off from college. He continued to work for the company between semesters throughout his college career, and even joined his father on trips to trade shows and South America. After completing his bachelor’s degree in history in 2011, Cohn spent a season working for Frusan in Chile. He also previously spent time working and interning with Paramount Export in Oakland, CA.
In his position at Stanley Orchards, Cohn will be handling a portion of imported fruit sales, including apple volume for processing as well as actively searching out new customers, he told The Produce News. He added that he will become more involved in the sales of local apples to domestic customers once the import season winds down.
“When I first worked at Stanley Orchards, it was mainly as a source of income during the summer months between school years,” Cohn said. “After a trip to PMA and South America, I realized that I truly enjoyed working and being involved in the industry.”
