Earthbound Farm promotes, hires several staff members

Earthbound Farm, an organic food company based out of San Juan Bautista, CA, recently announced the promotions and hires of several staff members.

CRAIG HOPE was promoted to chief customer and marketing officer and is now responsible for leading the marketing organization in addition to the sales organization. Mr. Hope joined Earthbound Farm in 2010 as chief customer officer. He has 25 years of experience in consumer packaged goods sales organizations and previously held the role of customer vice president at Kraft, Nabisco and Distant Lands Coffee.

NATHALIE FONTANILLA, who has been with Earthbound Farm since 2001, was promoted from director of produce innovation to vice president of product innovation. In her new role, Ms. Fontanilla will lead the company’s product innovation initiatives in both the salad and fresh produce categories, as well as its new forays outside the produce department with frozen fruits and vegetables, snacks and beverages, and packaging enhancements.

SAMANTHA CABALUNA has been promoted to vice president of marketing, public relations and communications. She has been with the company since 2003 and most recently served as director of communications and marketing. She leads the company marketing and communications marketing initiatives for brand, trade, digital, events, public relations, social media and communications. She also serves on the board of directors for the Organic Trade Association.

Previously the associated trade marketing manager, JESSICA HARRIS has been promoted to trade marketing manager and is now responsible for managing and coordinating Earthbound Farm’s trade marketing programs.

Earthbound Farm added ANDREA (DRE) BIRSKOVICH to its marketing communications team as the public relations, social media and marketing manager. Ms. Birskovich will be responsible for developing social media, blogger and integrated marketing campaigns and promotions that support the company’s initiatives and product strategies.

JEFF DAVIS has joined Earthbound Farm as customer development director. In his new role, he is in charge of managing the company’s business with Whole Foods Market. Mr. Davis most recently worked for Nature’s Path Foods as the national sales manager. He is based in Northern California.

MELISSA CELESTE has joined the company as customer development manager for the central region. She previously worked for Promised Land Dairy and is based in Dallas.

Earthbound Farm also recently hired three people to fill the newly created position of territory customer development representative/manager. Those people are JARED SMITH, North Bay area/Sacramento territory; BRITTANY LARKIN, South Bay area territory manager; and ANDREW SCAIZO, Southern California territory manager.

Last but not least, the company hired two new team members to serve its New York and New Jersey markets. JOHN CHERE, most recently a territory salesman for Hostess Brands, will be assuming responsibilities for New Jersey, while CHRIS VISONE, formerly an area sales manager for Vita Coco, will be managing the New York market.
