When it came time to select roses befitting a beauty queen and her court, the Miss America Pageant turned to Passion Growers for the fourth year in a row.
The Miami importer’s flowers were named the official rose of the 2014 Miss America competition, held Sept. 15 at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, and nationally televised.
The bouquets used in the ceremony were grown in Colombia and hand-picked for Miss America, former Miss New York Nina Davuluri, and her court.
“Partnering with the Miss America competition is an incredible opportunity for Passion roses,” said Passion Growers founder Jaime Peisach, quoted in a news release.
A family firm founded in 2001, Passion Growers offers more than 200 varieties of roses and spray roses sold in more than 5,000 supermarkets and grocery stores nationwide.
Earlier this year, Passion Growers was named “The Official Rose of the Rose Bowl.”
