Giumarra Vineyards hires new East Coast manager

LOS ANGELES -- Giumarra Vineyards announced Dec. 13 the hiring of Mike Rodgers, a new executive of the company's East Coast team. Mr. Rodgers will serve as manager of East Coast operations and be based in Wilmington, DE, according to a company press release.

Mr. Rodgers comes to Giumarra Vineyards from C.H. Robinson, where he worked for 11 years. His responsibilities included buying for and selling to strategic accounts, managing the sourcing team and working with growers to put together category programs for customers. Prior to C.H. Robinson, he owned a wholesale produce company that serviced restaurants and institutions in the Philadelphia area.

In his new position, Mr. Rodgers will manage the Giumarra Wilmington, DE, office and will be in charge of all Chilean fruit arriving at that office as well as the sales of the fruit to customers in the United States and Canada.

"Mike is a bright, dynamic, hard working, knowledgeable produce professional who will greatly add to the Giumarra team on the East Coast," John Giumarra, Managing Director of the Giumarra East Coast Chilean program, said in the press release.

Mr. Rodgers has already started his duties and can be reached at the company's port of Wilmington, DE, office.
