Pure Hot House Foods Inc. is excited to announce the acquisition of a new distribution centre and packinghouse in San Antonio, TX. The new facility has been operational since the start of the Mexican and Central American growing season this fall and will help with shipping and packing from the firm’s Mexican grower-partners.
“With quality and taste as driving factors, we’re excited about this new location and the opportunity to provide our customers freshly picked product with reduced food miles,” Jamie Moracci, president, said in a November press release. “This new location will allow us to ship quickly from our Mexican and Central American partners’ greenhouses to retailers across the U.S. and Canada with increased control over quality and packaging operations and with less time from harvest to market.”
The acquisition comes at a time when Pure Hot House Foods Inc. is expanding its Mexican partner-grower acreage, and the new distribution center is in an ideal location with its proximity to both the firm’s Mexican growing regions and its southern and central United States customer base.
