Business is status quo for Mountain Valley Logistics

Mountain Valley Logistics has provided its customers with full-service logistics for the past 17 years. Despite a troublesome economy and escalating fuel prices, Transportation Manager Kurt Holland said, “We’re busy.”

The company is located in Center, CO, right in the hub of Colorado’s San Luis Valley. The area is nationally recognized as a fresh potato producer, and spuds are the largest-volume commodity transported by Mountain Valley Logistics. Mr. Holland said that the business also arranges for other loads at customer request. The goal is to ensure the orderly flow of product from source to destination while giving customers the worry-free service they have come to expect, he added.

Last year, Mountain Valley Logistics opened a new office in Albuquerque, NM. The decision was a good one for the company, and service capacity was increased as a result.

Mr. Holland said that Tim Miller, who worked for the company for the past 14 years, left Mountain Valley Logistics to relocate to Texas. “He’s going to be hard to replace,” Mr. Holland said of the veteran employee.
