Procacci Bros. Sales Corp. successfully uses computer software by Produce Pro to improve its operations.
Procacci, a major wholesaler, repacker and distributor, continually faces the challenge of keeping each segment efficient and compliant with new regulations and industry initiatives.
Procacci’s facilities operate around the clock, whether selling fresh produce at the new Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market, running production for top national retail and foodservice accounts, distributing a full variety of organic and ethnic produce to independent supermarkets, or selling wine grapes during the fall season.
“Whether it is a new business segment or a new initiative like the produce traceability initiative, we face the constant challenge of having to adapt as a company,” said Kevin Delaney, Procacci’s director of corporate sustainability and productivity. “The agility of Produce Pro’s system partnered with the level of talent in their organization makes the system an incredible asset to our company.
“We greatly value their ability to solve problems and their always a wealth of knowledge on new and upcoming trends,” Mr. Delaney added. “We continually test the limits of the Produce Pro system and we have yet to run into anything that Produce Pro can’t handle.”
With Produce Pro, which is based in Woodbridge, IL, Procacci is able to see all activity in real time, stay ahead of trends in technology and go beyond traceability compliance. Furthermore, Procacci can create accountability throughout all of its operations, maximize productivity and access Produce Pro’s reporting programs.
Procacci implemented Produce Pro software in October 1997.
