Misionero Vegetables, a family-owned-and-operated business, showcased its new flavorful and nutritional salads at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Anaheim, CA, and was awarded Best New Product Launch.

“We looked at emerging trends in the fresh-cut category and found consumers are incorporating vegetables with a high nutrient content or ‘super foods’ into their diets,” Alicia Blanco, marketing manager, said in a press release. “Our Baby Kale and Superfood Blends are the perfect fit for the savvy consumer.”

In addition to the nutritional line, Misionero also launched two innovative flavorful salads. “Our goal behind the new flavorful concept is to bring flavor back into the salad category and build excitement,” Dan Canales said in the press release. “We believe we accomplished our goal with lemony and wasabi arugula blends. Misionero is committed to building the salad category and plans to expand their innovative salad offerings.”

Misionero’s new lineup consists of baby kale, superfood, lemony and wasabi arugula salad blends, and are available nationwide in both “Organic Earth Greens” and “Garden Life” brands.
