Walter P. Rawl & Sons, based in Pelion, SC, announced a partnership with fruit and vegetable advocate and cookbook author, Missy Chase Lapine, also known as The Sneaky Chef.
As the former publisher of Eating Well magazine, Ms. Lapine is passionate about healthy foods and committed to helping families eat more fruits and vegetables.
Her “sneaky” cooking style finds creative ways to incorporate fruits and vegetables into every dish in ways that improve the nutritional value of the meal and make vegetables more readily acceptable to picky palates.
“This partnership with Missy and her ‘Sneaky Chef’ brand is an exciting opportunity to connect her passion for leafy greens to our ‘Nature’s Greens’ product line to inspire new users,” Ashley Rawl, director of sales and marketing for the company, said in a June 21 press release. “We believe today’s new consumer is committed to the health benefits of leafy greens but is looking for new ideas. The Sneaky Chef is a creative bridge to help us educate and inspire.”
The eight-month Sneaky Chef promotion will feature a series of recipes and on-line content from Ms. Lapine, including blogs, tweets, on-line cooking videos and giveaways. In-store promotions will include point-of-sale materials, a texting promotion for an electronic cookbook and a consumer sweepstakes.
