The U.S. Apple Association announced the second week in June the hiring of Mark Gedris as its new director of membership and communications. In his new position, Mr. Gedris will lead USApple's member communications programs, provide strategic guidance to USApple's media relations and direct the association's membership recruitment and retention programs.He replaces Todd Hultquist, who left earlier in the spring.
A native New Yorker, Mr. Gedris comes to USApple as a seasoned association professional having held management positions with four international trade associations.
Prior to joining USApple, he served as the membership director for the International Parking Institute, a global federation of institutions and professionals involved in the parking and transportation industries.
He has also served as marketing and membership director for the Retail Bakers of America, a trade group that represents the baking industry.
