Daum and Corby to head floral task force

Steve Daum of Floralife and Jim Corby of Food Lion have been named co- chairmen of a new Produce Marketing Association task force to look at ways to "engage and serve PMA's floral community," according to Megan Miller, PMA's public relations manager.
Names of committee members were posted on the association's web site, www.pma.com, Jan. 28.
Mr. Daum is director of the Superflor division of Floralife, which provides post-harvest care and flower food products to the floral industry. He is based in Parkland, FL.
Mr. Corby is vice president of produce merchandising at Food Lion, a subsidiary of Delhaize Group in Belgium. Food Lion is based in Salisbury, NC, and operates more than 1,200 supermarkets in 11 southeastern and mid- Atlantic states.
Other members of the task force are Traci Adams of Safeway, Robert Bruno of Nurserymen's Exchange, William Byland Jr. of N.G. Heimos Greenhouses, Greg Calistro of Save Mart Supermarkets, Dwight L. Ferguson of Naturipe Farms, Sam Ferrera of Passion Growers, Kerry Herndon of Kerry's Nursery, James Holloway of C.H. Robinson Co., David Lessard of Ahold USA, Lauree Lincoln of Sunshine Bouquet, Edgar M. Lozano of USA Bouquet and Andres Nannetti of Sunburst Farms.
