New CEO to take helm at Six L's

The Lipman Family Companies, owner of tomato and vegetable grower- shipper Six L's Packing Co. and repacker Custom Pak, announced that Kent Shoemaker will join the company Sept. 20 as chief executive officer.

Larry Lipman, chairman of the Lipman Family Companies, said in an Aug. 26 press release, "Kent’s track record of innovative leadership in the fresh produce industry complements our strategy and vision for growth. We are excited to have him join our family of companies".

Mr. Shoemaker began his career in 1985 with Red’s Market in Orlando, FL. For the past 25 years, he has helped drive the expansion of FreshPoint, a division of Sysco, in various leadership roles, including chief operating officer.

“I am eager to work with the team at Six L’s and Custom Pak,” Mr. Shoemaker said in the press release. “Their industry-leading success sets a strong foundation for growth.”
