R.D. Offutt Co., based in Fargo, ND, on July 12 acquired the assets of Ryan
Potato Co., which is described in the July 20 edition of the Northern Plains
Potato Growers Association's Potato Bytes publication as "an East Grand Forks,
MN-based buyer of washing-quality reds, whites, russets and yellow-flesh
varieties of potatoes."

Joan Ryan Mangino, president of Ryan Potato, confirmed the sale July 21 with

She added, "Everything here will remain the same at Ryan Potato, and

of Winnemucca Farms Inc. in Winnemucca, NV. Winnemucca Farms
manufactures dried and dehydrated potato products as well as other food

customer service. The combination of Ryan Potato Co. and R.D. Offutt Co. will
be able to provide potato growers expanded value."
