Jennifer Skidgel-Clarke has joined Steinbeck Country Produce in Salinas, CA,
in the newly created position vice president of food safety and regulatory
Ms. Skidgel-Clarke brings extensive experience in the food safety and
regulatory arenas to Steinbeck Country Produce. She was most recently food
safety and risk manager for four years at Christensen & Giannini LLC in
Salinas. Prior to that she held positions at Tanimura & Antle in Salinas as pest
control adviser and farm GAP coordinator, and as agricultural
inspector/biologist for the Monterey County agriculture commissioner.
At Steinbeck she will be overseeing the food-safety program as well as
ensuring compliance with regulations affecting human resources and other

Ms. Skidgel-Clarke earned a bachelor of science degree in fruit science from
Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. She also maintains a pest control adviser license
and is a certified crop adviser.
Ms. Skidgel-Clarke is actively involved with many industry organizations. She
is a past president and current board member of California Women for
Agriculture, as well as a board member of the Monterey County Farm Bureau.
She is also on the California Association of Pest Control Advisors, Monterey
Bay Chapter, and is on the Grower-Shipper Association's pest management,
water and food safety committees.
