Four Seasons donates $33,000 to the hungry

Four Seasons Produce Inc., a wholesale distributor of produce, along with its
subsidiaries, has donated more than $33,000 to several regional food banks.
From June 26 to July 4, the Ephrata, PA-based company donated 10 cents for
every case of produce it sold and delivered in an effort to help local families
and individuals having trouble putting food on their tables and feeding their
families. The donation was maximized with the involvement of 13 suppliers,
customers and partners.
Selling 202,328 cases of produce, Four Seasons Produce raised over $20,000,
and its subsidiaries Earth Source Trading and Sunrise Logistics donated
$1,500 and $5,000, respectively. Regional food banks Philabundance, Central
PA Food Bank, Greater Berks Food Bank and Capital Area Food Bank in
Washington, DC - all members of the Feeding America national food bank
network - benefited equally from the donation.
"The support of our partners and suppliers has helped us to raise significant
funds for this worthy cause," Ron Carkoski, president and chief executive
officer of Four Seasons Produce Inc., said in a July 9 press release. "I'm proud
