Pat Compres leaves Customized Brokers
by Tad Thompson | March 25, 2010
The former chief executive officer of Customized Brokers, a Miami-based
Customs brokerage, announced March 18 that Patricia Compres, its founder
and former chief executive officer, has ended her 20-year tenure at the
company. The split was effective March 12.
Ms. Compres founded Customized Brokers in 1989 and over the last two
decades developed the company into a well-respected organization,
facilitating the importation of billions of dollars worth of produce from
around the world, according to a March 18 press release. In March 2009, the
company was acquired by Crowley Holdings Inc., which served to increase
streamlined logistical services and enable the expansion on both coasts, in
Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
"The past 20 years have been a marvelous journey," Ms. Compres said in the
press release. "I am grateful for the opportunities I have had and for the
generous support from our customers, colleagues and friends, which made
Customized Brokers successful. I am confident that the new management and
Customized Brokers-Crowley team will continue to provide the same level of
customer service the clients are accustomed to. After all, customers are
precious. I wish them the very best of what the future holds."
Upon her departure, Ms. Compres has plans to continue traveling abroad and
pursuing other interests. She looks forward to furthering her studies and
continuing to learn more about world cultures and trade.
