Divine Flavor now marketing its own vegetables

by Brian Gaylord | October 05, 2009
Rio Rico, AZ-based Divine Flavor LLC is marketing its own vegetables. The company perhaps is best known as a grower-shipper of greenhouse products and various tomatoes, zucchini squash and table grapes.

Divine Flavor's greenhouse products include cucumbers and grape tomatoes. The company provides the green table grape varieties Sugraones and Perlettes and the red table grape varieties Crimson and Red Flames from its grower operations in Hermosillo in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The company also grows product in northern Baja California in Mexico.

The company has offered organic table grapes and organic peaches for the past three years. Divine Flavor's other organic products include zucchini squash, grape tomatoes, European cucumbers and green beans. In two years, Divine Flavor will begin marketing its own apricots from Hermosillo, said Sales Manager Pedro Batiz.

The company will not be an exhibitor at the 2009 Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition this year but intends to be an exhibitor next year, said sales manager Pedro Batiz.

Mr. Batiz said that Divine Flavor's customer base is expanding and that led to the company marketing its own vegetables. Joining Mr. Batiz on the Divine Flavor sales staff are his nephew Luis Batiz and Dennis Hay.
