The board of directors of A. Duda & Sons Inc., a family-owned, diversified land company based in Oviedo, FL, announced the appointment of David J. Duda as president of the corporation in a Sept. 30 press release. David J. Duda, who has worked for the company for 22 years, will report to Joseph A. Duda, chief executive officer of the corporation.
Edward D. (Dan) Duda Jr. was appointed president and chief operating officer of Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Duda. He will report to Barton Weeks, executive vice president and chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the Duda corporation.
Samuel D. (Sammy) Duda was appointed vice president of Western vegetable operations for Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc., and a corporate vice president of Duda. He will report to Edward D. (Dan) Duda Jr., president and chief operating officer of Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc.
As president of Duda, David J. Duda will be responsible for directing the management of the corporation to achieve its mission as a land company. The Duda corporation includes Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc., a fresh fruit and vegetable subsidiary; Duda Products Inc., processed citrus and grove operations; The Viera Co., a real estate development subsidiary; and Duda Ranches, an agriculture operations business unit specializing in citrus, sugarcane, cattle and sod.

David J. Duda most recently served as chief administrative officer, responsible for the legal, human resources, communications, purchasing, information systems and food safety departments. He previously served as chief financial officer of the corporation, having been promoted from corporate vice president of finance and accounting and corporate controller.
He is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in food and resource economics and a master of business administration degree in finance. He lives in Winter Springs, FL, with his wife and three children.
As president and chief operating officer of Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc., Edward D. (Dan) Duda Jr. will be responsible for directing the management and operations of the grower, shipper and marketer of fresh citrus and fresh and fresh-cut vegetables which has operations in Florida, California, Arizona, Georgia and Michigan and seven additional states and Mexico.
He has served as chief operating officer of Duda Farm Fresh Foods and corporate vice president of Duda since 2006. He joined Duda in 1980 following graduation from the University of Florida, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture economics. He developed sales and marketing expertise in the company's vegetable and citrus divisions, holding progressively more responsible positions in both East Coast and West Coast operations.
He was subsequently promoted to senior vice president of fresh fruit and vegetable sales in 1997. In his new position he reports to Barton Weeks. He will be located in the company's Oviedo office. He and his wife Kathy live in Oviedo, and have two grown children.
As vice president of Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc., Samuel D. (Sammy) Duda will be responsible for the company's production and harvest operations for its fresh vegetable operations in California and Arizona and for the company's fresh-cut celery processing plant in Oxnard, CA. He previously served as vice president of Duda Farm Fresh Foods with responsibility for vegetable production and harvest in the company's California and desert locations.
Joining Duda in 1985 following graduation from Mississippi State, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture economics, he gained production management experience in the company's Texas and Arizona locations prior to his appointment as general manager of West Coast operations in 1999. He reports to Edward D. (Dan) Duda Jr., president and chief operating officer of Duda Farm Fresh Foods, and will be located in the company's Salinas, CA, office. He and his wife Amy live in the Salinas Valley and have three children.
