Caruso Inc. announces senior management changes, rebranding initiative, opening of second location

by | July 09, 2009
Founded in 1932, Caruso Inc. is a privately held storage, distribution and re- pack company located in Sharonville, OH. Jim and Steve Caruso now own the company that Sam Caruso, their grandfather, founded 77 years ago. For three generations, Caruso has been re-packing and distributing a variety of products - primarily produce - throughout a 12-state region.

During the past five years, Caruso has diversified its business model to include warehousing and distribution of perishable and non-perishable items for Fortune 200 companies. "We feel it is imperative to reorganize and rebrand our company to clearly define our extension into other services beyond our produce-centric heritage," Jeff Busch, chief operating officer, said in a July 1 press release.

Senior management roles have been more clearly defined. Jim Caruso is president and chief executive officer; Jeff Busch is COO; Steve Caruso is executive vice president; Mike Caruso is vice president of produce; Dave Williams is vice president of trucking; and Wayne Kramer is director of operations.

Two new web sites -- and - - have been developed to better communicate the two main business divisions.

Additionally, new logos have been developed to represent the three distinct divisions of the company: the parent company, Caruso; the produce company, Caruso The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Co.; and the asset-based, third-party logistics provider, Caruso Logistics.

A Caruso Logistics location in central Pennsylvania has been opened to facilitate a new business opportunity with a long-standing customer. "Our Pennsylvania location will employ upwards of 20 associates, and we are very much looking forward to the opportunity of opening more locations as we continue to grow our asset-based, third-party logistics business," Mr. Busch added in the release.
