Imagination Farms, based in Indianapolis, has expanded its distribution network of "Disney Garden" suppliers with the addition of Berry Fresh in Dominguez Hills, CA.

Mark Haun, Western region sales manager for Imagination Farms, said in a Feb. 18 press release, "With our singular focus on increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables among children, a berry program was a priority for us. Berry Fresh is enthusiastic about the opportunity and will help us bring quality berries to the marketplace."

Jose Paredes, president of Berry Fresh, added in the press release, "As marketers, we are always looking for new ways to reach out to new demographics. We are eager to begin shipping 'Disney Garden' berries, and we are proud to be a part of this innovative organization that is focused on marketing but committed to getting kids to eat more fruits and vegetables."

Berry Fresh will make its "Disney Garden" debut in U.S. markets in late March with 5.6-ounce containers of blackberries, followed by blueberries in six- ounce and 11-ounce containers in May and June. The packaging will feature Disney Princesses and Disney/Pixar Cars characters. In addition, a special promotional packaging in April will feature Hannah Montana, coinciding with the Hannah Montana movie release.
