Dominican Republic to hold export show

Agroalimentaria 2009 will be presented in the Dominican Fiesta Hotel March 4-7 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Eddy Mart?nez, the Dominican Republic's secretary of state and the executive director of the country's Center for Export & Investment, said in a press release that the trade show, the second of its kind, is "aimed to exhibit the very best of the national agricultural production, agro industrial goods, beverages and tobacco with the purpose to link buyers and sellers."

The Center for Export & Investment and the Dominican Republic Agribusiness Board are presenting Agroalimentaria with the support of other public and private institutions.

"Our supply is diverse, from seasonings and spices to the coffee and cocoa most demanded in the international organic market, going through the most delicious pineapples, bananas and mangoes and the freshest vegetables, to the most famous cigars and the best beer and rum of the world," the press release noted.

Agroalimentaria 2009 offers an incentive plan for international importers and distributors that includes hotel accommodations; welcome dinner; matchmaking, according to individual interests; and a group city tour to the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo.
